As winter's deepest breath settles upon the earth, we extend an invitation to gather in reverence of ancient ritual and the quiet beauty of handcrafted vessels. On the sixteenth of December, step into a sanctuary where clay and leaf converge, where the warmth of ceremony melts the season's chill.
Ming from tea by yuan invites you to journey through three movements of taste—a symphony of sensation that unfolds like the turning of seasons themselves. We begin with whispers: a white tea, delicate as morning frost, carrying the subtle sweetness of little wild yellow. Then, we deepen into warmth: a red tea of golden needles, rich with the earth's generosity. Finally, we arrive at complexity: an oolong nectar orchid, where layers of flavor bloom like flowers opening to the sun.
This is more than a tasting. It is a conversation between tradition and the present moment, between the hands that shaped the vessels and the leaves that fill them. Ceramist Michiko Shida's open studio becomes a temple of craft, where every element—the clay, the tea, the silence between sips—speaks to the beauty of intentional living.
