This page provides detailed information on the return, exchange, and refund policies at Tea by Yuan, along with important customer protection guidelines.

Return Policy

We offer a 14-day return policy worldwide. You may request a return within 14 days of receiving your item, provided that the product meets our category-specific conditions and is sent back to our warehouse in China.

For non-defective returns, such as changing your mind, customers are responsible for arranging and paying for international return shipping to our warehouse in China.

If your item arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or has a confirmed quality issue, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos. In these cases, we will cover return shipping or provide a replacement or refund after review.

Product Eligibility and Return Conditions

To be eligible for a return, items must meet the specific criteria for their product category:

  • Teas and Edible Products: For hygiene and food safety reasons, opened tea or consumable products cannot be returned. Teas must be unopened, unused, fully sealed, and in their original packaging.

  • Artworks and Unique Ceramic Pieces: Pre-made artworks and ceramic pieces must be returned unused, undamaged, and in their original condition with all protective packaging intact. Customers are liable for any diminished value or damage resulting from improper return packaging during international transit to China.

  • Custom and Commissioned Works: Made-to-order, personalized, or custom-commissioned artworks and ceramics are non-returnable and non-refundable unless they arrive damaged or defective.

How to Initiate a Return

To start a return, please contact us at teabyyuan@gmail.com with your order number, the item you wish to return, and the reason for your request.

If your return is approved, we will provide our return address in China along with detailed packing and return instructions. Items sent back without a prior return request will not be accepted. All returns must be shipped directly to our facility in China.

For customer preference returns, you are responsible for paying international return shipping fees to China. For damaged or incorrect items, Tea by Yuan will provide a suitable resolution after review.

Damages and Issues

Ceramics, artworks, and tea require careful handling. Please inspect your order upon arrival and contact us immediately if an item is defective, damaged in transit, or if you received the wrong item.

Please email us within 7 days of delivery at teabyyuan@gmail.com with your order number and clear photos of the issue, including photos of the outer shipping box. We will review the case promptly and arrange a replacement, repair, or full refund.

Return Shipping Costs

  • Customer Preference Returns: Customers are responsible for all international return shipping costs to our warehouse in China.

  • Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items: Tea by Yuan covers return shipping or provides an alternate solution upon review.

  • Original Shipping Fees: Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a confirmed product defect.

Exceptions and Non-Returnable Items

We cannot accept returns for:

  • Opened or unsealed tea and food products due to health and hygiene regulations.

  • Custom-commissioned artwork, personalized items, or special bespoke ceramic orders.

  • Digital products, gift cards, or clearance items marked as final sale.

Exchange Policy

We do not offer direct exchanges. The quickest way to secure a different item is to return the eligible item first. Once your return is accepted, you may place a separate order for the new piece.

Refund Policy

We will notify you once we have received and inspected your return at our facility in China. If approved, your refund will be processed within 7 business days and automatically applied to your original payment method.

Please note that processing times may vary depending on your bank or credit card provider.
