An analogue photograph captured in the high mountains of Ya’an, Sichuan, where a ancient Buddhist temple rests in silent solitude.

During the stillness of Qingming, we sat on the weathered wooden platform with a cup of hot tea, gazing into the vastness as early spring mist softened the contours of the mountain. In this quiet terrain, solitariness reveals its true shape. It is not loneliness, but the unhurried grace of wabi-sabi—being fully present with impermanence, the hush of rain-washed air, and a landscape that asks nothing of us.

In that cold mountain fog, the warmth of a simple tea bowl becomes a quiet anchor. Looking into the distance becomes its own form of prayer.

Printed as a limited fine-art analogue photograph, bringing the calm, mist-shrouded spirit of the Sichuan highlands into your living space.
