A Curated Summer Journey Through Green, White, and Oolong (June 2026)

Price: 45 €

Total Volume: 5 curated portions of 4g each (Perfect for a 200 ml teapot session)

As the heat of midsummer settles in, the body naturally seeks equilibrium. In Chinese tea philosophy, this is the time to embrace the cooling, neutralizing, and clarifying spirits of the leaf.

The Solstice Tasting Menu is a mindfully assembled selection of five exceptional harvests designed to carry you through the summer months. From the crisp, high-altitude mountain dew of Sichuan greens to the deeply comforting, sun-withered complexities of Fujian's finest whites and volcanic oolongs, this flight is an invitation to slow down. Pour the water, watch the leaves unfurl, and let the quiet poetry of the tea cool your summer afternoons.

The Menu

1. Sweet Dew (Mengding Ganlu)

  • Origin: Ya'an Village, Sichuan Province

  • Vintage: Spring 2025 | Varietal: Green Tea (4g)

  • The Experience: Translated as "Sweet Dew," this historic green tea is plucked from the mist-shrouded peaks of Mount Mengding. It offers an instantaneous refreshing quality to a summer morning, carrying a vibrant crispness, delicate sweetness, and a bright, vegetal clarity that awakens the palate without a trace of harshness.

2. White Peony (Bai Mudan) Mini Cake

  • Origin: Fuding Village, Fujian Province

  • Vintage: 2025 | Varietal: White Tea (4g)

  • The Experience: Compressed into a convenient mini cake for slow, steady aging, this beautiful pluck of one bud and two leaves unfurls in the water like a blooming peony. Remarkably rich in comforting notes of soy milk, fresh beans, and maple syrup, its mild and neutral character makes it the ultimate companion for a lazy, sun-drenched afternoon.

3. Wild White (Ye Xiao Bai)

  • Origin: Panxi Village, Fujian Province

  • Vintage: 2025 | Varietal: White Tea (4g)

  • The Experience: Sourced from an ecological zone high in the mountains of Panxi, this tea is crafted from a traditional small-leaf mother tree species. Undergoing a meticulous, traditional three-day sun-wither, it balances a lively floral and honeyed sweetness with a nostalgic, rustic undertone of dried raffia, cacao, and a faint whisper of a distant charcoal fire.

4. Silver Needle (Baihao Yinzhen)

  • Origin: Fuding Village, Fujian Province

  • Vintage: Spring 2025 | Varietal: White Tea (4g)

  • The Experience: The ultimate expression of purity. Composed exclusively of tender, unopened spring buds heavily coated in protective silver down. When prepared with a brief 20-second steam awakening, it releases a remarkably full-bodied, round, and milky liquor featuring notes of fresh sage, mint, and warm butter. Reserved for moments of profound stillness and elegant ritual.

5. Mountain Snow (Xue Pian)

  • Origin: Wuyi Mountain, Fujian Province

  • Vintage: Winter 2024 | Varietal: Oolong Tea (4g)

  • The Experience: A rare winter-harvested Oolong (Xue Pian or "Snow Flakes") from the mineral-rich, volcanic cliffs of the Wuyi Mountains. Because the leaves grow slowly in the freezing mountain air, they pack an incredibly intense, concentrated floral aroma and a sweet, crisp clarity. It tastes like cool mountain air trapped in a cup—providing a stunning, icy-fresh contrast to the summer heat.

Recommended Brewing Companion

To experience the full tactile evolution of these teas—from the velvety down of the Silver Needle to the structural depth of the Wuyi Oolong—we highly recommend brewing this flight Gongfu style using a fine-pored, unglazed vessel such as The Sedimentary Stone Teapot or The Moss-Grown Stone Teapot.

  • Standard Ratio: Use 1 full pack (4g) for a 200 ml teapot.

  • Endurance: Each selection in this flight is highly resilient and will gracefully yield 6 to 10 distinct infusions, transforming beautifully from steep to steep.

Brewing Methods

Rich teas with intense flavor like Pu-erh or black tea can be brewed not only in a teapot but also in a thermos bottle. Try it out and hear how a day of tea consumption will be provided with ease and warmth.

The mountain buds are plucked while yet the dew remains, emerald-green, unfurling in the bowl like a forest reborn in the steam.
